The CIS Benefit Gala for Children is a spectacular black tie event featuring "A Taste of Brunswick County" by the area's finest chefs,live and silent auctions, 50/50 raffles, and live music. Paws-Ability's First Annual Bicycle Poker Run
 
Paws-Ability’s First Annual Bicycle Poker Run will benefit the animal shelters and rescue groups of Brunswick County. Registration for the event will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Isle Inn on Ocean Isle Beach and participants will be directed to four locations on the island to draw a card for their poker hand. The event will end with a poolside party at the Ocean Isle Inn, which will include hot dogs, beer and soft drinks as well as a silent auction. Raffle tickets for a 16 Gigabyte iPad 2 Wi-Fi model will be sold in advance, and at registration for the event.
